As a Rock Construction Manager, you will be part of the implementation of the West Link, one of Sweden's largest infrastructure projects, located in the Otterhällan sub-project within Project Haga. You will work closely with production in a rock tunnel environment and represent the client on-site in central Gothenburg.
During the assignment, work in other parts of the West Link may become relevant. The West Link is a new railway connection under central Gothenburg, where large parts are built in tunnels with new underground stations. In the Otterhällan sub-project, the assignment mainly involves tunnel work in rock in a dense urban environment and in proximity to existing infrastructure.
About the role
In this role, you will be an important part of the daily implementation and contribute to a close, solution-focused collaboration between the client, contractor, specialists, and designers. You will operate in line with project management decisions, report to the production manager of the sub-project, and contribute to a safe working environment.
The assignment includes, among other things:
- Monitoring and controlling daily production work with a focus on quality, time, and cost
- Ensuring compliance with construction documents, technical specifications, and agreements
- Performing and documenting construction management inspections
- Following and contributing to the updating of control plans and documenting controls
- Conducting spot checks of the contractor's self-inspections
- Keeping a construction management diary and following up on the contractor's production diary
- Reviewing invoice documentation before monthly regulation
- Keeping the production manager continuously informed about progress
- Assisting with documentation for notifications and cost assessments
- Participating in meetings (construction, technical, planning)
- Engaging in deviation and risk management work
- Participating in contract inspections and reviewing inspection documentation
Mandatory requirements
All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.
- At least 10 years of experience as a construction manager or other supervisory position in underground facilities in hard rock. Also, at least one reference assignment that can substantiate the experience.
- At least five (5) years of experience as a construction manager or other supervisory position in hard rock work. The experience should not be older than 10 years. The requirement is verified through reference assignments.
- Education from a university, college, or vocational school (for example, rock geology/rock engineering) or another combination of post-secondary education and experience that the client deems equivalent.
Assignment information
The assignment is to start no later than 2026-07-01 and lasts for two years.
Option: The client has the unilateral right to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 years.
Scope: The estimated workload for the assignment is 100% annual working time, amounting to 1,700 hours.
The stationing location for the resource consultant is Gothenburg. Physical presence at the Transport Administration is required every day of the week. The assignment involves shift work, every other week Monday – Saturday, with a maximum of 80 hours of working time over a 14-day period. Daily working hours are distributed between 05:00 and 24:00.
